Context
Square’s annual Design Summit traditionally brought designers from around the world together in San Francisco, but due to COVID restrictions, the event shifted to a fully online experience. The team needed a visual identity that could support a remote format while still creating a sense of connection, participation, and shared experience during an isolating moment in time.
Solution
Built around the theme Work in Progress, the identity reflected the uncertainty, adaptation, and personal growth many people were experiencing both professionally and personally throughout the pandemic.
Alongside the digital event identity, we designed a physical swag kit intended to bring moments of delight and connection to an otherwise remote experience.
My Role
I collaborated with a small team to help shape the creative direction for the event identity and led the design of the visual system and supporting swag materials.
