The Brief
When Block shifted to a fully distributed work model, we wanted to rethink how the company represented work and culture visually, moving away from polished corporate imagery toward something more authentic and human. The company was relying on outdated assets, captured from the days when employees were working from the office, and we needed imagery that reflected the reality of how we worked today.
The Outcome
We invited more than 10,000 employees to share their workspaces, selecting six individuals from across the country whose homes, routines, and environments reflected the diversity of experiences within the company.
Partnering with photographer Leela Cyd and videographer Briana Jarrett, we created a series of portraits and interviews that captured the realities of distributed work and how creativity can thrive in different spaces. The images have since been featured across Block’s careers site, reports, and social media.
My Role
I pitched the project and led art direction, shaping the visual approach, participant selection, and storytelling direction in collaboration with the photography and video team.
